What is RFx?
RFx is the umbrella term for competitive sourcing events: RFI (information), RFQ (quote), and RFP (proposal). Auvora runs those events in the VMS and ranks responses on one record.
RFI, RFQ, RFP
- RFI - request for information. Capability and fit, before price is the point.
- RFQ - request for quotation. Comparable price against a specified need.
- RFP - request for proposal. Approach, commercials, and often scored criteria.
Lifecycle
Define need → invite suppliers → collect responses → rank → award → work order. Auvora keeps ranking and award on the event so finance is not reconstructing email. Product detail: supplier-link RFx.
